Fire:

• is fuel dependent
• is air dependent
• is created when a substance receives sufficient heat
• may contain plasma when very hot
• flows along paths of richest fuel and air

Plasmas:

• vary in volume
• vary in shape
• conduct electricity
• produce magnetic fields
• produce electric currents
• produce electromagnetic radiation
• respond strongly to electromagnetic force
• respond less strongly to gravity

Plasmas may also be found in:

• stars
• nebulae
• the northern lights
• the southern lights
• lightening
• sprites
• St. Elmo’s Fire
